*Note on De-Matting: If your pet has matted hair, you have two primary choices: 1) you can have the hair de-matted, which involves the groomer using special tools to comb out the hair or 2) you can shave the matted hair.

Matted hair can take on two primary characteristics: 1) the pets whole body is covered in matted hair or 2) your pet may have matted hair in patches anywhere on the body, for example just behind the ears, under the legs, etc.

De-matting is painful and stressful for your pet and takes more time for the groomer. For these reasons, an extra charge is incurred for de-matting hair.
